31 July No Way We’re not sure how much sense it makes. Could it be that the Dolphins are receiving an offer they just can’t turn down?
However, there is a report—or is it a rumor—that the Pittsburgh Steelers are attempting to trade for Tyreek Hill, according to DK Pittsburgh Sports.
“According to a team source,” the site claimed, the Steelers are ‘convinced’ they are going to land (Brandon) Aiyuk, DK Metcalf, or Tyreek Hill in a trade at some point.”
From a position of the Bills? Hill is a moron. However, he’s also one of the most valuable, frightening, and brilliant players in the NFL.
Thus, Dolphins, please proceed with the process of offloading Tyreek and getting him out of the AFC East.
“QB SIGNED JULY 27” The Jets signed quarterback Adrian Martinez on Saturday, releasing quarterback Ben Bryant in the process.
What room might Martinez provide the quarterback led by Aaron Rodgers?
Martinez, who was on the Lions practice squad last season, just finished a successful UFL season. The 24-year-old led the UFL in rushing, took home the league MVP Award, and helped the Birmingham Stallions win a title.
So it’s definitely worth a look from an athletic standpoint.
MVS CREDIT JULY 26 Should Marquez Valdes-Scantling, a former wideout for Kansas City, receive more recognition for Patrick Mahomes’ two Super Bowl victories there? What about the success of Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay?
Valdes-Scantling claims to have “helped (QBs) elevate their games in different facets” on Tyler Dunne’s Go Long website.
“I helped Aaron (Rodgers) win a couple MVPs,” declared Valdes-Scantling. I assisted Pat in winning two Super Bowls and MVP. My résumé also says it all. It’s not a one-way street, dude.
Fans of the Chiefs may argue about this for a long, but Bills Mafia will undoubtedly say, “That’s cool. Do it right now!
JULY 26: PATS ARE IN WITH PEPPERS It’s an easy move in the AFC East because he is supposed to be their greatest defensive player.
A three-year contract extension between the Patriots and safety Jabrill Peppers is allegedly being finalized. This is part of New England’s efforts to keep improving their defense.
According to ESPN, the Buffalo opponent’s contract has a $24 million base value and a potential $30 million cap.
July 24, Head of Aaron Aaron Rodgers has begun training camp with the New York Jets, and he is now discussing things above his shoulders rather than his physical fitness.
How is Achilles’ recovery going?
Rodgers also reports feeling fantastic following just one practice day.
“I feel great, but it’s going to take some time,” stated Rodgers. “The mental component makes up the final 5% of being 100%. Additionally, the final five percent of the play today was the ability to move fast in the pocket without thinking.”
WORST NEW COACH JULY 23 There are eight “new” coaches in the league this season as training camps get underway. Fox Sports, someone has to be the worst of them all, right?
According to Fox Sports, New England will finish 3–14. Jerod Mayo, the new head coach, had a poor NFL start.
Positively, Fox Sports notes that the Patriots defense performed admirably in the previous campaign. However, to what extent was that due to Belichick, who was still among the top defensive brains in the game? Mayo, Belichick’s inside linebackers coach, will soon find out because a successful defense is essential for him to win any games at all.
The outlook for the next Patriots manager, who will be pursuing the Bills and possibly every other team in the AFC East, is not good.
22 JULY FROM M to GBR? In 2020, Jake Fromm was a quarterback-in-waiting for Buffalo. The former Georgia quarterback, though, may suddenly have a chance in Green Bay.
The prospective backup to Jordan Love worked out with the Packers recently, and they may sign him, if only to provide veteran depth for training camp.
Fromm is not just a backup for the Bills; he has had coffee with the Commanders and the Giants.
MAYE SITS JULY 21 Now, for the time being at least, Jacoby Brissett finds himself in charge of the New England Patriots.
There will be debate in the AFC East over the Patriots’ choice to start Brissett until rookie Drake Maye is ready, particularly if the veteran quarterback struggles to lead the team to victory.
The Patriots were where Brissett, a third-round selection in the 2016 NFL Draft, started his career as a professional. Following his rookie campaign, he was dealt to the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for receiver Phillip Dorsett. As Tom Brady’s backup, Brissett started two games and took home a Super Bowl during his tenure with the Patriots.
Despite periods at the Colts and, most recently, the Commanders in 2023, his career path has been less noteworthy after then.
Can he, however, serve as the “bridge” while No. 3 overall pick Maye adjusts to life in the NFL?
The New England plan is that.
AARON’S PAL MAY 24 There’s an intriguing hypothesis being tossed about regarding the New York Jets’ potential demise, and it doesn’t simply come from a hopeful Bills perspective.
What if Rodgers backfires on New York by “ordering the world” to “trust him” about his pal and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett being fine for the Jets?
Since it will imply that Rodgers isn’t actually being guided or pushed? Because it will imply that Rodgers is obstructing his real work because he is too preoccupied “defending” his friend?
Rodgers, who is forty and has seen it all, will not accept this theory.
Bold Claim Made by Aaron Rodgers: “Everyone Knows That”
The Bills, who will face the Jets in the soon-to-be AFC East, would love to see this hypothesis come to pass. Go here to learn more about it.
HOT SEAT MAY 24? We guess we take this a little more seriously than some, and perhaps we attempt to be respectful of the guys who make their living as coaches in addition to exercising discipline.
However, isn’t May a bit early to be letting go of somebody like Sean McDermott?
A website has put together a list of the “top 10 coaches on the hot seat”—or should I say “bottom 10”? And the head of the Buffalo Bills is right there at No 9.
The justification? “It’s reasonable to wonder how many more opportunities McDermott will get with the Bills if they continue to lose in the playoffs, even though Buffalo’s late-season surge may have saved him in 2023.”
We are unable to dispute that. Simply put, we’re not sure if we should be debating it in May at all.
