The F1 Power Rankings panel gave Lewis Hamilton the highest rating for his performance at the Belgian Grand Prix. George Russell, the Mercedes driver’s teammate who won the race but was disqualified, received a lower score. Max Verstappen fell to position six.

Hamilton was chosen as Belgium’s best.

Verstappen finished in fifth place despite having to start from 11th place due to a grid penalty on Saturday after driving to pole position. In the end, that became fourth since Russell was disqualified. Despite the fact that this moved the Dutchman closer to Lando Norris in the championship, the panel was not overly thrilled with his performance. Verstappen is only able to obtain a 7.4.

Daniel Ricciardo is right behind Verstappen with a 7.6. Oscar Piastri receives an 8.6, which is just higher than Charles Leclerc’s 8.4. In the last moments of the race, the latter was able to attack the Mercedes drivers but was unable to try an overtake.

Russell, the initial race winner, comes in second with an 8.6. Russell was the only driver in the race who dared to attempt a one-stop. He won the race at first thanks to this, but it was later taken away from him when it was discovered that his Mercedes was 1.5 kg too light. With a score of 9.2, Hamilton secured a commanding top place in the Power Rankings.
