The race organizers decided to allow the race to go on Saturday after conferring with spokespeople for the drivers, the ILN (Nurburgring Long Distance Interest Group), and team managers. “We’ve all been stunned by an accident that occurred during the test. We are thinking about those that are impacted. But since the incident had nothing to do with the event, our teams have chosen to move on with it,” VLN chief Mike Jäger stated.
