Watch Video: After washing Jayden Seales up, Lungi Ngidi shushes him and makes fun of him by “chirping”

at the first innings of Day 4 of the first Test match between South Africa and the West Indies, which is being played at Port of Spain, star bowler Lungi Ngidi of South Africa dismissed West Indies star Jayden Seales and further teased him by chirping.

On August 11, the South African right-arm pacer’s humorous motion went viral on social media.

It’s interesting to see that the fans’ opinions differ; some think it was just a casual gesture during the game, while others scorn and make fun of him for what he did during the exciting action. In an effort to move up in the WTC cycle, both teams have returned to Test cricket.

The second-string South African team lost both of its Test series against New Zealand in February, and the West Indies most recently fell 0-3 to England.

When it came to this particular game, Temba Bavuma, the captain of South Africa, won the toss and asked the home team to field first. Notably, the South African team scored 357 runs after being chosen to bat first before being dismissed from the match.

Tony de Zorzi, the star opening batsman, hit 78 runs with a strike rate of 54 from 145 balls, including seven fours and two sixes. Furthermore, captain Bavuma scored 86 runs to support the Proteas’ position as the dominant team.

But the West Indies got off to a respectable start in the chase thanks to 35 runs apiece from openers Brathwaite and Louis. After that, Hodge scored 25 runs in the middle order, and Carty pounded 42 more.

The biggest threat to the Proteas at the time was power batter Jason Holder, but Aiden Markram knocked them out for 36 runs, allowing them to only score 233 runs. Day 4 concludes with South Africa leading by 154 runs.
