With Philippe Clement instructed to make killer acquisitions, the Rangers are leading the battle to get Albion Rrahmani.

If a contract is open, Rangers should strive to sign Albion Rrahmani because Derek Ferguson believes the team needs to improve beyond Cyriel Dessers.
On June 17, Football Scotland revealed that, according to a Romanian source, the Light Blues are set to sign the Kosovan striker, even though Viorel Moldovan, the president of Rapid Bucharest, stated that the “very important” player might remain with the team.
Neil Lennon, a former manager of Hibs and Celtic, is currently managing Rrahmani, and Ferguson has hinted that because of his long-standing rivalry with the Light Blues, he would up the price to make things difficult for Philippe Clement.
Although the commentator acknowledges the value of Dessers, he maintains that Rangers must add “killers” up front.
He chuckled, saying only to Ibrox News, “Neil’s no giving us him.” Neil Lennon is not a top player, a top striker who can score forty goals, for Rangers Football Club.
“Just kidding, I have no idea.” Once more, it’s just another name that exists.
“We require a top-notch striker. Dessers has fluctuated greatly. Although he has scored 22 goals, there should have been 42.
“I understand that he’s a nice big fella, but nice doesnae win you things.” We need individuals that are killers, have grit, and are determined.
It is precisely the kind of guy the team needs—we don’t need good players, we need winners.
“Rrahmani, listen, get him in if there’s a deal to be done if he fits the bill. However, I believe Neil might be adding on a million or two, so he would, to make things a little more challenging for us.

Is Neil Lennon making the Rangers transfer chase more difficult?
Speaking to Digi Sport in Romania on June 6, Rapid has stated that if a deal with Rrahmani leaving the club this summer materializes, it will set a club record and cost at least €5 million (£4.2 million), though it is likely to be much more.
Regular goal scorers almost always come at a high price. With 17 goals from 26 games in his debut season in Bucharest, it appears that his value has increased significantly after signing for a reported €600,000 [£507,000]. However, with Digi Sport claiming that the Light Blues are prepared to bid €6 million [£5.07 million], it might be possible.
It would be a tremendous help to start making some money from squad player sales in order to afford such a transfer and still finish the remaining business this summer, with Sam Lammers’ departure perhaps being key.
