“It Would not Put It Past” Bryson DeChambeau and Tiger Woods to Win Another Major

Even though Tiger Woods has had a run of bad results at major championship events and has been advised to retire, Bryson DeChambeau believes the iconic player still has a lot more to give.

Colin Montgomerie said that Woods might think about retiring before this week’s Royal Troon Open, the final Major of the year. But, Woods had none of it, snapping back, “As a past champion, I am exempt until I am 60.” Colin isn’t. He is not above the rest; he is not a former champion. Thus, he is deprived of the chance to decide. Yes, I do.

Woods’ only accomplishment at the major events this year has been a 60th place finish at The Masters. He then went on to miss the cut at a Major for the third time in a row.

It did nothing to dispel rumors that Woods’ run of 15 Major victories may have come to an end, even though that is partially due to his sparse appearances, something that may be rectified in 2025 thanks to a new exemption category established for him that will allow him to play in all of the PGA Tour’s signature events.

However, DeChambeau disagrees with that. This week, the US Open winner plays at LIV Golf United Kingdom. Prior to the event, he first supported Woods’ will to make as many Major appearances as possible.

The 30-year-old said, “He is probably the most influential figure in the game of golf.” He is currently the most important person in golf, and I believe he should compete in the Majors. He has contributed more than enough to this wonderful game, and he still does so by participating in and attempting to win these tournaments.

DeChambeau continued, stating that Woods might yet be able to reverse the trend with at least one more Major victory.
