Smith’s criticism of a particular dish made popular by Buffalo might have gone too far
It’s safe to assume that Jonnu Smith will not be taking a trip to Buffalo anytime soon. In light of Smith’s less than kind remarks about Buffalo and its supporters, it’s also safe to assume that Bills supporters will extend a “special” greeting to the Dolphins’ new tight end when he and his teammates visit Orchard Park this autumn.
“That’s why their fans be behaving so (bad), because they wanna be down here,” Smith stated earlier on “The Dive Bar Podcast.”
While discussing Buffalo, Smith, who spent two years with the Patriots (2021–2022) and played there three times, didn’t hold back. Jones not only tore through the city but also tried a Buffalo specialty.
“That’s got to be the worst place you can be in the world,” he added. Not to mention, the Buffalo wings aren’t very tasty. I am launching numerous jabs at Buffalo.”
It’s easy to say that Jones belongs to the group of people who would like to live or visit somewhere else. Buffalo, like most cold-weather cities, is not for everyone. However, even if you’re not a Bills fan, Buffalo is a pleasant city with some of the friendliest residents you’ll find, in my experience from my recent visit.
Regarding Smith’s opinion on Buffalo wings, he is terribly mistaken. In my opinion, Duff’s is the best place to get wings. The restaurant’s warm atmosphere, which features four hanging jerseys of former Bills players Jim Kelly, Bruce Smith, Thurman Thomas, and Andre Reed, is almost as good as the wonderful wings.
Although I don’t agree with his perspective, I will give Smith credit for being willing to voice his opinions despite essentially courting the Bills Mafia’s animosity when the Dolphins visit Buffalo on November 3.
