After making a significant offseason adjustment, Dereck Lively II is set to become a monster

The youthful big man for the Dallas Mavericks has been in the lab this summer.

After experimenting with 3-point shooting in the past, Dereck Lively II made his first 3-pointer of the NBA Finals in Game 4 against the Boston Celtics.

Lively II has turned the corner and is showing everyone that he can pose a real threat at any time.

Dereck Lively II is refining his 3-point shooting over this off-season.
Just like when he made the three-pointer against Boston, Lively II was recently seen locked in the lab at the Mavs practice court.

After averaging 8.8 points and 6.9 rebounds in his first campaign, Lively II has already established himself as a formidable player on the boards. Superstar center Shaquille O’Neal lauded Lively II’s performance in the postseason in an exclusive interview. Inexperienced Lively II just followed instructions. He is now in a position to step up his game on his own.

Lively II has been honing this ability over the last several months. Thanks to their several offseason additions who aim to enhance their 3-point shooting, Dallas would benefit in the long run if Lively II were to develop a deep shot.

Lively II has been flashing this skill during his pregame workouts before every game, which has made Mavs fans dream of the day he becomes a floor spacer. This wish could soon come true.

In an interview, the big man boldly predicted that he would soon acquire a decent jump shot when speaking with Ausar Thompson of Detroit.

Lively II’s game might be expanded to make him a glass monster with a wonderful external touch. He is already a great pick and roll player, therefore he might be an unstoppable force in the NBA for years to come. Now consider the offensive potential of the Mavs if he posed a danger in the pick and pop.

Ultimately, as per an NBA insider, the Mavericks have drawn comparisons between him and reputable basketball figures, such as the legendary power forward Kevin Garnett.

Even though he had an intensely emotional rookie season and was chosen to the All-Rookie Second-Team following the regular season, he has higher goals in mind. In his debut year, Lively II was primarily utilized as a dunker, but he would surely advance his skills if he could shoot the basket consistently.
