Amad’s exclusion has dealt a serious setback to Manchester United’s preparations for their match against Tottenham Hotspur.
With Manchester United at the moment, the adage “when it rains, it pours” has never felt more true.
Even if Ruben Amorim had a taste of victory last weekend against Leicester City, his attempts to regain some sort of consistency have been thwarted once more.
Toby Collyer, Manuel Ugarte, and Kobbie Mainoo are all expected to miss Sunday’s trip to Tottenham Hotspur due to injuries.
To make matters worse, United has now sustained yet another injury setback prior to their trip to North London.
The United winger is probably going to miss the remainder of the season due to an ankle injury.
Amad sends message after Manchester United injury
The Ivorian has been one of United’s few shining lights this season, producing some impressive performances.
Now unlikely to play again until pre-season, Amad’s injury served as a significant blow – especially with United hardly in great form.
Now that his injury has been verified, Amad has taken to Instagram to give a poignant message to United supporters.
Amad expressed his disappointment at having to write this letter at such a critical moment in the season.
“Unfortunately, I have an injury that will keep me out for a while. I’ll return stronger than before! It’s time to lend the boys some outside help. There is still much to play for,” he continued.
