Chelsea legend John Obi Mikel has taken aim at Manchester United loanee Jadon Sancho, accusing him of misleading the club with a few standout performances.
Sancho departed United on the final day of the summer transfer window, joining Chelsea on an initial loan deal that will become permanent—provided the Blues avoid finishing in the bottom six.
Currently, Chelsea sit in sixth place and appear well-positioned to secure a top-half finish in the Premier League. If the deal goes through, United stand to earn £25 million from Sancho’s permanent transfer.
The England international struggled to meet expectations at Old Trafford and was eventually sidelined following a high-profile fallout with Erik ten Hag.
Sancho made an impressive start at Chelsea, registering four assists in his first three league games. However, his recent dip in form has mirrored the club’s struggles, with poor performances and results piling up.
Chelsea’s 3-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion on Friday saw Sancho deliver another lackluster display on the left flank, adding to the scrutiny surrounding him. Now, at 24, he finds himself under growing pressure once again, with John Obi Mikel weighing in on the situation.
