Since Dan Campbell took over as head coach of the Detroit Lions before the 2021 season, his high-energy style has often been likened to that of a pro wrestler.
On Thursday morning at the Lions’ training camp, Campbell was joined by a legendary pro wrestling figure: WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan.
Sporting a blue bandana, Hogan stood beside Campbell and delivered one of his signature promos.
“I’m here with my new tag-team partner,” Hogan told the gathered reporters. “Campbell-mania, brother, is going to run wild this year. Super Bowl, nothing but greatness, nothing but victory. So what are you gonna do when the Detroit Lions, and Campbell-mania, run wild on you, brother?”
As Hogan wrapped up his enthusiastic speech, Campbell watched with a smile. “You’re the best,” Campbell said, receiving applause. “Appreciate you, man.”
The Detroit Lions are set to kick off their season against the Los Angeles Rams on September 8.
