reports :New York Giants star will miss 3 games due to injury…

The Giants did not practice on monday because they were on vacation, but they were still required to file an injury report.

The New York Giants had Thursday off due to a schedule change caused by the Green Bay Packers’ Monday night game at home. Nonetheless, the team was required to file its first injury report, with the Thursday report being a projection.

Tackle Evan Neal (ankle) was the only player who said he wouldn’t practice. Neal told reporters on Wednesday that he is still in pain from his latest ankle injury and that his return would likely be determined by how much pain he could tolerate. How much worse was Giants' Evan Neal than other top-10 tackles? - Big Blue View

Inside linebacker Isaiah Simmon (ankle) and defensive linemen Dexter Lawrence (hamstring) and A’Shawn Robinson (hamstring) were all listed as questionable. Lawrence missed his first career game because of a hamstring strain two weeks ago. Lawrence is expected to return to the lineup for the Giants on Monday night.

Full participation was expected for inside linebacker Carter Coughlin (hip) and quarterback Tyrod Taylor (ribs). Taylor is still on injured reserve, but he is expected to be activated before Monday night’s game.Notebook: Evan Neal rehabs; status uncertain

The New York Giants received some potentially encouraging injury news Thursday as they prepared for Sunday’s game against the Washington Commanders. Three starters who did not practice on Wednesday advanced their careers on Thursday.

Linebacker Bobby Okereke, the team’s defensive signal caller, took part in limited practice on Thursday. Due to a hip injury, he did not practice on Wednesday.

Kayvon Thibodeaux, an edge defender, and Jalin Hyatt, a wide receiver, both suffered concussions against the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday and are working their way through the league’s concussion protocol.

The Giants’ injury list is lengthy, but only cornerback Adoree’ Jackson (concussion/neck) and right tackle Evan Neal (ankle) did not practice on Thursday.
