Good news:Florida state has finally sign him…

Since the NCAA Transfer Portal opened last week, Florida State has begun to gain traction with multiple players. Over the weekend, the Seminoles brought in two transfers for official visits, which will continue throughout December.

ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported on Tuesday afternoon that Oregon State graduate transfer quarterback DJ Uiagalelei is expected in Tallahassee this weekend for an official visit. Uiagalelei is one of the most sought-after signal-callers in the portal, but his future has remained uncertain as he weighs whether to return to college or declare for the NFL Draft.QB DJ Uiagalelei reportedly interested in two ACC schools | Yardbarker

After former Duke star Riley Leonard committed to Notre Dame on Tuesday, the quarterback dominoes began to fall. The Seminoles are thought to be a top contender for Uiagalelei’s services, as well as former Washington State standout Cam Ward.

Uiagalelei is a quarterback with whom Florida State has previously faced in 2021 and 2022. Uiagalelei led the Clemson Tigers to a pair of victories in those two games, totaling 392 passing yards, four touchdown passes, and one interception while completing 62.9% of his passes. He also had one rushing touchdown.

The 6-foot-4, 251-pound quarterback is coming off a season with Oregon State in which he threw for a career-high 2,638 yards on 8.7 yards per attempt despite attempting fewer passes than in his two years as Clemson’s starter. He threw 21 touchdowns against seven interceptions and scored six times on the ground.

Uiagalelei completed 695/1176 passes (59.1%) for 8,319 yards with 57 touchdowns and 24 interceptions in four years at the collegiate level. He’s also carried the ball 343 times for 1,132 yards and 21 touchdowns.

Uiagalelei fits into Florida State’s quarterback timeline because he has one year of eligibility remaining. As rising redshirt senior Tate Rodemaker and incoming true freshman Luke Kromenhoek continue to develop, he would presumably compete for the starting job with the Seminoles.
