NBA has susspended golden state star today….

The Golden State forward is expected to undergo counseling before returning to play.

Following his ejection on Tuesday night for punching Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has been suspended indefinitely by the NBA.

The incident occurred during the third quarter of Tuesday’s game between Phoenix and Golden State. Green can be seen spinning and punching Nurkic in the face before being ejected for a Flagrant 2 foul.

Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors is expected to receive counseling and work with the Warriors and the NBA while suspended after striking Phoenix’s Jusuf Nurkic in the head on Tuesday night, according to sources. He must meet certain criteria before returning to the field.

The incident occurred with 8:23 left in the third quarter of the Warriors’ 119-116 loss to the Suns at Footprint Center on December 12. Green was ejected after receiving a Flagrant 2 foul.

Green’s suspension will take effect immediately. Before he can play again, he must meet certain league and team requirements.

This season, the four-time NBA All-Star has averaged 9.7 points, 5.8 assists, and 5.5 rebounds in 25.1 minutes per game for the Warriors in 15 starts. Golden State currently ranks 11th in the NBA’s Western Conference with a 10-13 record.

The Warriors owe the Portland Trail Blazers a first-round draft pick in 2024. Slots 1-4 are protected. The Blazers acquired the pick from the Boston Celtics in October as part of the deal that sent guard Jrue Holiday to Boston.
