Mixon pointed the gun at the woman and told her, “You should be popped in the face,” according to the warrant. I should shoot you because the cops (can’t) catch me.”Joe Mixon gets restructured deal with Bengals as police charge lingers

The incident occurred on January 21, the day before the Bengals’ divisional-round playoff game against the Buffalo Bills.

“The club is aware misdemeanor charges have been raised against Joe Mixon,” the Bengals said in a statement on Thursday. The club is investigating the situation and will make no further comments at this time.”Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon found not guilty of aggravated menacing | CNN

Mixon punched a female Oklahoma student in the face in 2014, an attack caught on surveillance video. He was suspended from the football team for a year and entered an Alford plea, in which the defendant does not admit guilt but admits there is enough evidence to convict. He was sentenced to community service and counseling, and his sentence was postponed.

The incident harmed his draft stock, with several teams saying they passed on him due to concerns about his character.
