Announcement:NBA has cancel the suspension that was given to golden state star…

According to Shams Charania, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has begun a counseling program and will be out for at least the next three weeks. The NBA suspended Green indefinitely after he struck Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in the head during a game on December 12.

The NBA’s executive vice president and head of basketball operations, Joe Dumars, stated that Green’s “repeated history of unsportsmanlike acts” contributed to the unusual and lengthy punishment.Draymond Green suspended 5 games for 'escalating an on-court altercation' | NBA.com

Green’s ejection for the incident with Nurkic was his third in 15 games this season. He was previously ejected on Nov. 11 for, among other things, shoving Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell into the first row of the crowd and on Nov. 15 for putting Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert in a chokehold. Green was suspended for five games following the Gobert incident.

Green will be “required to meet certain league and team conditions” before returning to action, though the specifics have not been disclosed. Green, according to Charania, has been receptive to the process that will get him back on the court.

“To me, this is about more than basketball, it’s about helping Draymond,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said last week after the suspension was announced. “I believe it is an opportunity for Draymond to step back and change his approach, his life, and that is not an easy thing to do.” That’s not something you can say, ‘OK, we’ll do five games,’ and he’ll be fine. “The solution is to assist Draymond, to provide him with the assistance he requires.” Give him the chance to make a change that will benefit him, our team, and him for the rest of his life. This isn’t just about a rant on the court. This is the story of his life. This is about someone I believe in, someone I’ve known for a decade, someone I admire for his loyalty, commitment, passion, and love for his teammates, friends, and family. Trying to assist that guy.”

Green would miss at least ten more games based on the three-week timeline. He could return in time for their Jan. 10 home game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

While the Warriors want Green to get the assistance he requires, they also want to see him back in the lineup. Even at his age, he is still their best defender, a key playmaker, and an emotional leader. They are currently 11th in the Western Conference with a record of 12-14, two games behind the Phoenix Suns for the final Play-In Tournament spot. Moving Green, on the other hand, does not appear to be on the agenda. Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy told reporters last week that the team is “committed” to Green.

“I think the bigger impact will be how we do the next 15, 20 games,” Dunleavy said in a statement. “That will most likely determine where we go.” … I don’t think I need to rate Draymond as a player any further. We need to assess the chemistry, lineups, and other aspects of this team.

“I believe we’re on track, but our record will have to change at some point.” We’ll have to get above.500 and start winning some games. And if not, we’ll have to reconsider.”
