NBA Insider Gives Update on Draymond Green Return Timeline

Shams Charania of NBA Insider has provided an update on the status of suspended Warriors forward Draymond Green, who was suspended indefinitely by the league five days ago.

Green received the punishment after striking Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in the face, claiming it was an accident, but given his history, the NBA was harsh.Draymond Green suspended 5 games for 'escalating an on-court altercation' | NBA.com

According to Charania, the four-time NBA champion will be out for at least three weeks.

“League sources said Green, 33, was expected to receive counseling and work with the Warriors and NBA while suspended,” Charania went on to say. “People close to Green and the organization said the four-time NBA champion is understanding and ready to go through the process of returning to the team in full capacity.” Out of respect for Green’s privacy, those sources would not reveal the specifics of his counseling.”NBA suspends Warriors' Draymond Green indefinitely after latest incident

“I really can’t share that,” Kerr told reporters. “That’s very personal. What I can tell you is that Draymond has our full support, and that Draymond is personally committed to bringing about the change he desires.”

Green apologized to Nurkic after the incident and explained that he was just trying to sell a foul.

“As you know, I’m not one to apologize for things I meant to do, but I owe Jusuf an apology.” “Because I had no intention of hitting him,” Green explained. “I sell calls with my arms.”

Draymond’s long history of such incidents is quite concerning.
