Good news for golden state worriors:he is back….

Joe Dumars detailed the league’s decision to suspend Warriors forward Draymond Green indefinitely.

Draymond Green has received more attention from NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and the league office this season than any other player. The Golden State Warriors are once again without Green due to his antics on the court. Only this time, there’s no telling when he’ll return.

Green was suspended indefinitely by the NBA for his repeated acts of violence on the court. The league’s final straw was his backhand punch, slap, swing, or whatever you want to call it. Draymond, a future Hall of Famer, has consistently put other players in danger with his reckless play, so he and the league decided it was time to seek assistance.Draymond Green suspended indefinitely by NBA | NBA.com

Green, the Warriors, and the NBA all agreed on the indefinite suspension, which sends a clear message to the rest of the league that repeated violations will not be tolerated. While this may appear harsh and unfair, the decision was made in Green’s best interests. The NBA’s Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations, Joe Dumars, recently spoke about the suspension, emphasizing that the league wants to help Draymond, not lock him up.Draymond Green: Golden State Warriors Forward Out Three More Weeks, per Report - Sports Illustrated

“We have to administer punishment, but I also believe that we can’t discard these guys,” Dumars said on Monday during a small group of reporters at the NBA’s headquarters in New York, according to The Athletic’s Mike Vorkunov. “These are real people.” And if we can administer punishment while also providing assistance, we should try. And I believe that’s what you’re seeing here and what we’re attempting to do right now, rather than simply suspending and dismissing them. That is not what we are attempting here.”NBA free agency 2023: Draymond Green will re-sign with Warriors

Dumars also stated that establishing a specific number for Draymond’s suspension made no sense because everyone is hoping Green can use this time to focus on himself. As a result of the indefinite suspension, Green can complete all of his recovery requirements and ensure he is in the best mental state possible before returning, rather than attempting to return within a specific timeframe.

“The only thing we really want to see him do is get better so that when he returns, we don’t have to deal with the same problems all over again.” And so that was the whole point of indefinite, and when he’s ready, he’ll return,” Dumars continued. “He’ll return when we think he’s ready.” He’ll return when the team believes he’s ready.”
