NBA Makes Major Draymond Green Announcement..

The NBA announced on Saturday that Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green had been reinstated following his indefinite ban. The league announced the following:

“Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations, announced today that Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has been reinstated after being suspended for striking Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic on December 12, 2023. During his suspension, which began on December 14 and resulted in his missing 12 games, Green took efforts that indicated his commitment to adhering to NBA player conduct guidelines. He has spoken with a counselor and has met on many occasions with representatives from the NBA, the Warriors, and the National Basketball Players Association, both of which will continue throughout the season.”

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Green is likely to require a week-long ramp-up period. Green will return to the Golden State Warriors lineup after this ramp up is completed. Green is slated to rejoin the Warriors on Sunday, marking his first appearance since his suspension.

Green was permitted to practice with the squad during his suspension, but it does not appear like he did so, which will be interesting to learn why.
