The Bishop Moore Catholic star was a member of Florida State’s 2022 recruiting class. He decided to transfer to Colorado after the spring, before his second season in Tallahassee.

Thomas’ fate for the 2024 season with the Buffaloes is “still being evaluated,” according to the Amazon Video docuseries “Coach Prime.”

Thomas appeared in two games for the Seminoles in 2022, recording an aided tackle in a 44-14 victory over Boston College at Doak Campbell Stadium.

In 2023, the 6-foot-2, 295-pound tackle played nine games for the Buffaloes. He had six total tackles, including two for a loss. Thomas’ greatest statistical game was the Buffaloes’ victory over Arizona State, in which he recorded three tackles and one tackle for loss. He also played offense as a fullback in short-yardage situations. When Deion Sanders Played Major League Baseball (and NFL Football) - Jugs Sports

Florida State’s defensive tackle room will lose some key players this offseason, including Braden Fiske, Malcolm Ray, and (pending a waiver) Dennis Briggs.

The defensive tackle group, as currently structured, will comprise at least six scholarship players: redshirt junior Darrell Jackson, redshirt junior Joshua Farmer, redshirt sophomore Daniel Lyons, redshirt freshman KJ Sampson, true freshman Jamorie Flagg, and true freshman D’Nas White. Briggs’ position is uncertain, while Ray is openly considering other alternatives in the portal.

DJ Lundy, a former FSU linebacker who recently transferred to Colorado, is the program’s most recent addition to Sanders’ Boulder roster. Derrick McLendon, Brendan Gant, Travis Jay, and Omarion Cooper have all left the Seminoles for the Buffaloes.
