I WISH TO RETURN BACK TO HAWKS..

Dec. 23 – Jalen Johnson, an Atlanta Hawks forward, might return from a wrist injury as early as Tuesday, ESPN reported Saturday.

Johnson, 22, has been out nearly a month since injuring his left wrist in the second quarter of the Hawks’ 136-108 victory over the Washington Wizards on November 25.BREAKING: Jalen Johnson to Miss 4-6 Weeks With Left Wrist Injury - Sports Illustrated Atlanta Hawks News, Analysis and More

The Hawks (12-16) released a statement Wednesday indicating Johnson had been allowed to return to full team practice, but have not officially disclosed any other specifics on Johnson.

Johnson, the Hawks’ No. 20 overall choice in the 2021 NBA Draft, has emerged as a major contributor this season. He is playing 29.9 minutes per game, more than doubling his previous season’s average of 14.9 minutes.

The Hawks have also missed Johnson’s defensive skills, which enabled the squad to be versatile on defense. He also performed well against larger players in the league.

Johnson averaged 14.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 15 games (12 starts) this season, shooting 42.5 percent from 3-point range.
