CJ Stroud had already established himself as a regular season star, and his performance in the playoffs cemented his place as one of the NFL’s top players for the following decade. He completed 16 of 21 passes for 274 yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions, and was nearly perfect in the 45-14 victory over the Cleveland Browns. He faced the NFL’s best defense and didn’t blink.

This level was not too large for CJ Stroud. He has something great going with the Houston Texans, and his career will be intriguing to follow over the next 15 years.

I believe Kansas City’s victory over Miami followed a familiar storyline from this season. Good defense, a dependable kicker in Harrison Butker, and just enough from Patrick Mahomes and, especially, wide receiver Rashee Rice.

The Chiefs dropped some passes, hesitated a little, and only had two offensive touchdowns, but they can win and live this way with their defense as good as it is. They limited Miami to 264 total yards, despite the Dolphins averaging more than 400 as the NFL’s top offense.

Mike McDaniel and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa face some concerns after Miami scored only seven points on the greatest stage.

What I stated about CJ Stroud could also be said about Jordan Love, who finished 16 of 21 for 272 yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions and the same quarterback rating of 157.2. Aaron Jones carried for more over 100 yards and three touchdowns, while Romeo Doubs had over 150 receiving yards and one touchdown.

This has generated severe concerns about the Dallas Cowboys, putting tremendous pressure on quarterback Dak Prescott and under-fire head coach Mike McCarthy.

This is the Cowboys’ most devastating and heartbreaking loss, as they had won 16 consecutive home games. You have to worry if heads will roll.
