NFL has suspended panthers key player….

Panthers hire a familiar face to be next GM, and owner David Tepper may not be done adding to front office - CBSSports.comCarolina Panthers owner David Tepper is under criticism after being seen on video appearing to hurl a drink at Jacksonville Jaguars fans after Sunday’s 26-0 loss at EverBank Stadium, and he may face penalties from the NFL.

According to CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones, Tepper could face a “substantial fine” and suspension as a result of his behavior.

A video showing Tepper appearing to toss his drink at Jaguars fans from his luxury box during the game went viral on social media, causing quite a commotion.

“We are aware of the video and have no further comment at this time,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy stated.

Tepper and the Panthers have yet to respond to the situation, but with the danger of a punishment and suspension, it’s worth asking when a response will be issued.

Tepper is understandably angry with Carolina’s NFL-worst 2-14 record, and the Panthers’ 2024 first-round pick—the first overall—is being given to the Chicago Bears after the Panthers acquired the first pick in the 2023 draft to select quarterback Bryce Young.Panthers hire a familiar face to be next GM, and owner David Tepper may not be done adding to front office - CBSSports.com

In 15 games, Young has completed 59.7 percent of his passes for 2,783 yards and 11 touchdowns against 10 interceptions, and he has not been the performer Carolina expected when drafting him.

Young still has plenty of time to turn things around, but the situation in Carolina remains bleak with Tepper at the helm.

Since taking over as Carolina’s owner in 2018, the Panthers have yet to win a season, and there appears to be little hope that the franchise will improve anytime soon.
