Prescott wasn’t the only Cowboys representative among the OPOY finalists. His star receiver, CeeDee Lamb, was also named a finalist.
The connection was a spectacular one this season. Lamb finished this season with franchise single-season records in both catches and yards. He finished the regular season with 135 catches for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns. He had nine games with over 100 yards receiving, including a career-high 227 yards against the Lions in Week 17.
Prescott also had a fantastic season. Last season he was the co-leader in interceptions. This season, he led the NFL in touchdown passes. He finished the regular season with 4,516 yards, 36 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He also completed a career-high 69.5% of his passes.

The Cowboys also had two finalists for Defensive Player of the Year: pass rusher Micah Parsons and second-year corner DaRon Bland.

Parsons finished as the runner-up for DPOY each of his first two seasons. This year, he was once again in the conversation.
Bland also had a historical year. He set the NFL record for interception returns for touchdowns with five. He finished the season with nine total interceptions. Through two seasons, Bland — a former fifth-round pick out of Fresno State — has 14 interceptions.
Raiders pass rusher Maxx Crosby, Pittsburgh Steelers pass rusher T.J. Watt and Cleveland defensive end Myles Garrett are the other finalists for DPOY.
