Antonio Pierce wishes to deny Raiders opponents and their supporters any enjoyment in Las Vegas.

For many individuals in the United States and around the world, Las Vegas is synonymous with having fun. At least for the Raiders’ opponents at Allegiant Stadium, Raiders coach Antonio Pierce wants that to change.

Pierce spoke with Amber Theoharis and Eric Allen on Raiders media following the team’s inaugural news conference for both Tom Telesco, the new general manager, and head coach of the Raiders. He expressed his desire for a traditional Raiders home-field advantage, one that brings back memories of the formidable fan base the team had in Oakland.

Pierce stated, “We have to restore our stadium to its former state, in that other location.” Theoharis brought up the Oakland Coliseum right away while Pierce continued to discuss his concept.

Allegiant Stadium and Raider Nation must be part of Las Vegas’ identity. That is my objective. That is the aim of our players. That is what our fans ought to want. Together, we carry that out. You should avoid visiting this nasty boy, despite the size of Raider Nation.

“You need not to wish to visit Vegas. Do you find the journey enjoyable? No, it’s not a pleasant vacation. Not one more! That must come to an end. That must also be a result of our players and the way we perform. However, everyone is required.

The most crucial thing Pierce said to achieve his goal is that the coaches and players must build a winning squad that Raiders supporters can be proud of. Every week, Allegiant’s resale tickets are in high demand, unlike those at the Oakland Coliseum. If the Raiders do poorly, fans can partially offset the expense of season tickets—which are expensive in and of themselves—by offering to sell their seats to the opposition for top price.

With a 6-3 home record this season, the Raiders laid the groundwork for a redesigned home-field advantage. Under Pierce’s leadership, the team won four games, including a 63-21 victory over the Chargers on national television.

Raiders supporters have also laid the groundwork. When Pierce took over as head coach, they were fired up, and following the team’s season-ending victory over the Broncos at home, they screamed his name.

Pierce remarked, “That first game against the Giants, that crowd was electric.” The previous game, though, was unique. They were making chants. They were quite noisy. They announced their existence.

Presumably, there will always be a need for fans to travel to Las Vegas. However, it will be simpler for supporters to establish a sense of identity at Allegiant Stadium if the Raiders can forge an identity on the field—one forged by aggression, malice, and the “Raider Way”—and continuously defeat the visiting team.

Opposing fans will be less inclined to shell out expensive tickets to witness their side lose. Additionally, because Pierce’s vision for the silver and black is exactly what the team’s beleaguered supporters want to see, a lot fewer Raiders fans will want to resale their tickets.
