Arsenal match is uncertain due to a groin injury sustained by a Newcastle starter.

After Tuesday’s injury setback, Alexander Isak might be the next player to be ruled out of Arsenal’s match against Newcastle United.Alexander Isak

After Eddie Howe was forced from the field in the first half, he initially downplayed the seriousness of the issue.

Howe remarked, “We don’t really know; it doesn’t look too serious.” It appears to be a minor groin problem. But let’s hope we can get him back soon.

However, further reports have indicated that the striker might be slated for a period of time on the sidelines. Luke Edwards reports that Isak’s groin ailment will keep him out of action for two to four weeks.Alexander Isak

It’s too early to tell for sure, says Edwards, and more scans could alter the image.

As it stands, though, the update casts doubt on Isak’s ability to play against Arsenal.

In less than three weeks, the Gunners will play Newcastle, so if Isak needs the whole four weeks—or perhaps longer—to heal, he won’t be able to play.

This most recent injury comes after it was just announced that Harvey Barnes one of several players scheduled to miss the Arsenal match, will miss the remainder of the season.

Due to his gambling suspension, Sandro Tonali is still not playing this season and will not be returning.

Due to a shoulder issue, Nick Pope will not be able to make the journey to the Emirates.

Better news, though, is that Matt Targett, Joe Willock, Elliot Anderson, Harvey Barnes, and Callum Wilson are all expected to return before the Arsenal game.
