Draymond Green’s NBA suspension is indefinite following his furious outburst on Jusuf Nurkić during the Warriors’ loss to the Suns.

Following an altercation on the floor earlier this week, Golden State Warriors player Draymond Green was placed on an indefinite suspension, the National Basketball Association (NBA) stated on Wednesday.

The 33-year-old was shown off during his team’s Tuesday 119-116 loss to the Phoenix Suns.

Under the center’s protection in the third quarter, Green whirled and hit Jusuf Nurkić in the face with his right arm, causing him to fall to the floor.

After reviewing the incident, the referees determined that it was a flagrant 2 foul, which entails an automatic dismissal from the game.

Following the game, Green claimed that the impact was unintentional.

After the game, Green remarked, “I don’t usually apologize for things I mean to do, but I do apologize to Jusuf because I didn’t intend to hit him.” “I spun away and, regrettably, hit him. I was just selling the call because he was grabbing me and pulling my hip.”

Green got ejected for the third time this season. After two technical fouls, he was dismissed from Golden State’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on November 11. Because of the latter, the former defensive player of the year received a five-game suspension, some of which was “attributed to Green’s history of unsportsmanlike acts,” the NBA said in a statement.

In April, Green received a one-game suspension for stepping on Sacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis’ chest.

The NBA said in a statement that Green will “be required to meet certain league and team conditions before he returns to play” and that the most recent suspension will start immediately.

Even with the loss of their top defender and starting power forward, the Warriors managed to maintain closeness throughout. Steph Curry, the two-time MVP, finished with 24 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Off the bench, youngster Brandon Podziemski finished with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists.

Due to injuries, the Suns, who were missing star forward and former Warrior Kevin Durant, started to pull away in the fourth quarter. However, in the last minute and a half of the game, the Warriors went on an 8-1 run that almost cost them the victory.

Phoenix was fortunate in that the Warriors had to play a foul game with little time remaining, and the Suns made all of their free throws to seal the victory.

In his comeback from a back ailment, Bradley Beal recorded 16 points, three rebounds, and three assists, while All-Star guard Devin Booker finished with 32 points, four rebounds, and seven assists.

After a convincing victory against their Western Conference opponents, the Suns have improved to 13-10. Meanwhile, the Warriors, who have had an unusually poor start to the season, are currently 10-13 and ranked 11th in the conference, outside of the postseason Play-In slots.
