PLAYER NEWS | Dominic Vose Departs The ClubWest Ham United player Dominic Vose, 17, was questioned by police over the alleged attack, which the girl claims happened at a party in Herne Hill last month.

The creative midfielder also had his fingerprints, DNA and a mugshot taken by police before being released on bail until June.

West Ham beat Manchester United and Arsenal to sign Vose on his 17th birthday last November, with the teenager saying at the time he wanted to follow in the footsteps of Hammers England stars Frank Lampard, Joe Cole and Michael Carrick.

He said: “I have been waiting a long time for this.

“Everyone around me is happy for me and I am happy for myself. My family has been right behind me.”

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police’s Sapphire section, which investigates sex crimes in the capital, conducted a video interview with the girl in a private suite.

Dominic played school football in Croydon before joining Junior Elite FC in Beckenham, which also produced Crystal Palace players Kieran Djilali and Sean Scannell.

A police spokeswoman stated, “Sapphire officers are investigating an allegation.”
