According to rumors, Manchester United is “pondering a move” for Kieran McKenna, the manager of Ipswich Town, should Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag go this summer.

Since moving to Portman Road in December 2021, the 38-year-old has accomplished nothing short of extraordinary, leading the Blues to consecutive promotions and bringing an end to Town supporters’ 22-year wait to watch their team play in the Premier League.

According to The Guardian, teams in the top division are taking notice of the Blues boss due to his wizardry. Brighton and Brentford are apparently also considering making an interest in him.

The national daily claims that McKenna, a six-year member of Manchester United’s coaching staff, is “highly regarded by the United hierarchy” and that the Reds and the Town boss’ representatives made the first move.
