£50 million: Kemar Roofe, a standout for the Rangers, discloses his departure from Ibrox following a 5-2 victory over Dundee

The striker for Rangers, Kemar Roofe, has stated that he will quit Ibrox when his contract runs out at the end of the current campaign.

Due to a series of injury setbacks, the Jamaican international has played in very few games this season. However, he did score the crucial winning goal against Real Betis in the Europa League group stage, which helped the team win the group.

But after the 5-2 victory over Dundee on Tuesday, May 14, in which he played as a substitute, Roofe turned to his personal Instagram account to announce that he will not be renewing his contract, as it expires at the end of the current campaign.

It’s been a pleasure, Ibrox. He posted two pictures of himself clapping supporters in the stands with the caption, “Thanks for having me.”

Ranger purging at Ibrox commences in advance of a hectic summer

This summer, a significant purge is anticipated at Ibrox; some have even suggested Philippe Clement may lead a “mini-revolution.”

It is therefore only fitting that the company launched early, and given Roofe’s history of injuries and contract status, he was actually one of the simpler decisions to make.

The 31-year-old is without a doubt one of the team’s top finishers and a fantastic striker when healthy, but his inconsistency makes it difficult to rely on him for the duration of the season.

It is just hard to stay at a premier club when that occurs, thus Clement made the proper choice in allowing Roofe go.

Rangers will undoubtedly search for a fresh addition to join and compete with them now that Danilo and Cyriel Dessers are in the squad for the upcoming season as striker possibilities. However, it appears like a solid start to the summer transfer window.
