£50 million Bradley Locko, a Brest left-back, is being pursued by Manchester United.

According to Jeunes Footeux, Manchester United is reportedly in competition with Fulham and Nottingham Forest to sign Brest left-back Bradley Locko during the summer transfer window.

This season, Man United has had trouble keeping a consistent left-back in the lineup. Luke Shaw is no longer a dependable option for the Red Devils due to his ongoing injury issues. Tyrell Malacia was brought on to support Shaw, but a knee ailment has kept the Dutchman sidelined for the whole season.

The team is currently trying to add a left-back during the summer transfer window. According to Jeunes Footeux, they have joined Fulham and Forest in their chase of Locko, who has contributed three assists in 35 games for Brest this year. The Ligue 1 team is willing to accept a £17 million offer to let go of the 22-year-old French player.

Locko is being linked to United, but Jeannes Footeux clarify that Erik ten Hag’s squad does not consider him to be a top target. Rayan Ait-Nouri of Wolverhampton Wanderers is the best option to strengthen the left-back position.

This season, United has fallen behind its rivals in the left-back category. Manager Erik ten Hag has had to rotate his staff members frequently, and Diogo Dalot is the go-to candidate right now.

The Dutchman will be looking for someone who can rival Shaw and Malacia. Locko would benefit United by joining. Last season, he recorded an outstanding 6.8 duels, 2.9 tackles, and 1.7 clearances per Ligue 1 match.

The Frenchman, who has completed one cross every appearance, has further potential in the last third. When the transfer window reopens in summer, the Red Devils might be persuaded to sign him given the modest price tag mentioned.

We won’t be shocked, though, if United decides to sign Ait-Nouri instead. The Algerian has become one of the most sought-after left-backs in the Premier League after adjusting to its intensity.

At £50 million, he will be more expensive, but he might start ahead of Shaw and Malacia the next season.
