QUALIFIED The Rangers’ acquisition of Jose Cordoba: the £3 million defender becomes ecstatic when acknowledged by the guy with the most knowledge

Former Aberdeen and St Johnstone defender John Inglis believes that if Rangers complete the signing of Jose Cordoba from Levski Sofia, they will be getting a quality defender both on and off the field.

Jose Cordoba latest will excite Rangers fans even if Ibrox club must now hand over 'more money'

After two spells at Pittodrie, Inglis played for the present club of the Panama international defense, Levski. He concluded his career in Bulgaria with Botev Plovdiv before registering as an agent there. Additionally, he has made contact with the midfielder Andrian Kraev, a teammate of the Rangers target, who is currently his client.

An agreement for the Central American market is about to be finalized by Philippe Clement. The Panama international and the Light Blues have reached a personal agreement, and Levski Sofia and the team are anticipated to work on a price. According to reports from Bulgaria, the cost might be as much as £3.2 million, although that would not include any future add-ons that are included in the transfer. The first upfront payment will probably be closer to £2 million.

With ten caps under his belt, the 22-year-old is considered one of the best defenders in Bulgarian football, which is why Ibrox head of recruitment Nils Koppen is interested in him. After attending the Kilmarnock game as a VIP last month, Cordoba, a left-sided defenseman, has not been included in Levski Sofia’s starting lineup despite mounting interest.

Additionally, Inglis stated to the Scottish Sun, “Andrian and I have discussed Cordoba.” He has also claimed to be a terrific guy in addition to being a good player and professional who is arguably the finest defense in Bulgaria. Andrian is quite complimentary, and he believes Cordoba would be well served by Rangers or any other team should he decide to leave Levski.

This summer, Clement has prioritized building up his Rangers defense. A left-back will replace Cordoba once Borna Barisic, who has decided to transfer to Turkish team Trabzonspor, departs. John Lundstram, who is not under contract, is also anticipated to follow Barisic’s lead.

Jefte, a defender from Brazil, has long been wanted. Fluminense is lending him this one. The Greek team APOEL is able to sign him. Although Rangers have other choices on their summer roster, the 20-year-old is stalling since he is aware of their interest. Albion Rrahmani, a Kosovan forward for Rapid Bucharest, is another player Rangers has been keeping a close eye on.
