In an interview with Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior writer Pete O’Rourke disclosed that Nuno Espirito Santo intends to let go of players like the Greece international in the upcoming weeks in an effort to trim down his overabundant roster.

As they get ready to submit their accounts on June 30, Forest is getting close to reaching their acceptable profit and sustainability (PSR) losses.

On June 15, Football Insider was informed by finance expert Stefan Borson that Nottingham needs to turn a profit of £20 million from player sales by the end of the month in order to avoid losing more points.

Selling peripheral players like Vlachodimos, according to O’Rourke, might significantly help to address the PSR problems at the City Ground.

The 30-year-old, who only joined the Premier League team from Benfica last summer, has a deal that runs until 2027.

Odysseas Vlachodimos might be sold to allay worries about Nottingham Forest’s PSR.

Since moving to the City Ground for £8.6 million, Vlachodimos has had an overwhelmingly frustrating past year.

The goalie, who was born in Germany, previously spent five years with the Portuguese powerhouse Benfica, making 225 appearances for them.

However, he played in just seven games for Forest the previous season, giving up sixteen goals and recording just one clean sheet.

Nuno’s team may now try to let the goalkeeper go as he wasn’t included in the matchday roster for any of their remaining 15 Premier League contests.

This summer, a number of exits are anticipated at the City Ground as Forest attempts to abide by the PSR regulations and prevent receiving yet another point reduction.

On June 16, Football Insider disclosed that the team is prepared to consider a bid for defender Joe Worrall, who has been declared surplus to requirements.
