According to reports, Rangers attempted to sign the player this summer through a transfer.

The Romanian press has reported the sum that Rangers had offered for Albion Rrahmani, the striker for Rapid Bucharest.

This summer, manager Philippe Clement is looking to add more players to his roster; Jefte, Oscar Cortes, and Clinton Nsiala have already signed. Goalie Liam Kelly and midfielder Connor Barron are both anticipated to sign, with Rrahmani at the top of their list following a successful debut campaign in Romania.

Since Sam Lammers and Fabio Silva weren’t able to relieve Cyriel Dessers of the load with goals last season, Clement might be seeking to provide the current forward more assistance.According to ProSport, Rangers made a proposal of almost £5 million to try and sign the player who was named the “most important player” for his present team in the last campaign.

Following Rapid Bucharest’s demand of approximately £6.7 million for the Ibrox target, negotiations have come to a standstill. Regarding a proposal that fell short of expectations, the recently appointed president of Rapid, Viorel Moldovan, stated earlier this week: “At this time, there is an offer for Rrahmani, which, from our point of view, is not at his level and value.”

We want Rrahmani to stay with us; I’m not sure whose side this is. He is also a key player for us, has a contract with the team, and we anticipate that he will assist us in reaching our objectives.

“He is a balanced boy, an OK boy, so I think we will still have him. It is not easy to manage such a moment, things can be tempting when you hear that you have offers, maybe for the better.”
