Omari Kellyman, a former Derby County prospect, might be moving to Chelsea for £19 million.

According to reports from a number of sources, the clubs and the gifted young man from the city are almost at an agreement.

There shouldn’t be any issues while the clubs try to work things out. The player will then go through the formalities for a medical exam and discuss personal matters.

Kellyman, who came up through the Pride Park ranks and made two Premier League appearances last season, left Derby to join Villa in 2022 when the team was in administration for an alleged £600,000. At the time, administrators Quantuma accepted his departure.

At the time, it was asserted that it assisted in keeping the team afloat while the Rams faced one of their darkest chapters in franchise history.

When Kellyman was sold, Wayne Rooney, the team’s manager at the time, stated: “I lost a player this morning [Wednesday], a 16-year-old local lad.” This morning, I received a text message stating that Aston Villa and I had reached an agreement.
