The most recent reports state that Derby County is looking to Ipswich Town in order to continue their summertime recruitment drive in an effort to make it into the Championship next season.

It was already announced on Wednesday night that Ben Osborn, a former youth player, will be joining the Rams after his contract with fellow Championship team Sheffield United expires this Sunday. The 29-year-old midfielder, who can also be used on the wings, has officially joined the team. He will give head coach Paul Warne some tactical options going into the upcoming season.

Although Osborn is Derby’s first completed transfer of the season, Warne has his sights set on a number of potential targets. The season-long loan of Swansea City forward Jerry Yates to Pride Park was made public on Thursday night; the terms of the agreement will be finalized in the next few days. In their pursuit of his signature, the recently promoted team will have to contend with opposition from teams like Stoke City, Blackburn Rovers, and Queens Park Rangers.
