The Pole, who scored 16 goals in all competitions last season as his team finished third in the Polish Second division before missing out on the playoffs, is being pursued by both Norwich City and the recently promoted Rams.

Kobacki joined the Bulldogs in 2022 after leaving his own country to play for Italian team Atalanta, for which he had left at the age of 16.

After his team lost out on a spot in Poland’s top division, the 22-year-old appears certain to depart after adding seven more assists to his already excellent goal total.

Although Kobacki’s previous team, Atalanta, has a buyback provision, the English Championship is thought to be his likely destination.

Derby has already made some purchases in an effort to bolster their team in preparation for their return to the second division. After his contract with the Tractor Boys expires, Ipswich Town’s Kayden Jackson will sign with Pride Park, where Ben Osbourne has already signed.

The goal of the Canaries is to advance past their playoff semi-final loss from the previous season by strengthening their team. José Córdoba, a center back from Panama, has already cost City more than £3 million since the arrival of new manager Johannes Hoff Thorup.

The 13-goal scorer Jonathan Rowe may leave the Carrow Road team due to Premier League interest, and Kobacki is being considered as a potential replacement.

The Rams and Canaries’ bids are not publicly known, but Transfermarkt values the Poland Under 20 International at approximately £450,000.

Kobacki is a player with a history who was raised in an excellent football-related atmosphere. The 2023–24 season may be considered his “breakout” year because of his goal contributions and steady play.

He is used to playing in the Polish second division, so the demands of the English Championship will be different for him, but he is still young enough to have plenty of development potential at a price that is more than reasonable.

The former Atalanta player must make a significant choice on the move that will benefit his career, should England be his final destination. He might give either team the added attacking capability they need to win.
