According to his agency, Tua Tagvailoa, the quarterback for the Miami Dolphins, has created history by signing the most lucrative contract extension in the history of the team. This information was confirmed to ESPN. The extension of Tagovailoa’s deal, which is worth $212.4 million, will allow him to continue playing with the Dolphins for an additional four years.
In 2023, Tagovailoa achieved the pinnacle of his career, leading the National Football League with 4,624 passing yards and a personal-best 29 touchdown passes. Additionally, he made the third highest total passing yards in the history of the Atlanta Falcons club. It was also the first time since 1992 that a quarterback for the Dolphins has led the National Football League in passing yards.
Prior to Tagovailoa’s arrival, the Dolphins had a difficult time finding a reliable quarterback. This was due to the fact that Dan Marino had retired prior to the 2000 season on multiple occasions. Tagovailoa has finally emerged as the contender who appears to be prepared to guide the Dolphins forward, despite the fact that the organization has started 25 quarterbacks from starting positions.
